CS FOR SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 36(JUD) Proposing                           
amendments to the Constitution of the State of Alaska requiring a              
runoff election when the candidates for governor and lieutenant                
governor obtaining the greatest number of votes at the general                 
election do not receive more than 40 percent of the votes cast, and            
changing the term of office of the governor and the lieutenant                 
governor, was read the third time.

Senator Rieger moved and asked unanimous consent that he be                    
shown as a cosponsor on the resolution.  Without objection, it was             
so ordered.                                                                    
                                                                               
The question being: "Shall CS FOR SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION                      
NO. 36(JUD) Proposing amendments to the Constitution of the State              
of Alaska requiring a runoff election when the candidates for                  
governor and lieutenant governor obtaining the greatest number of              
votes at the general election do not receive more than 40 percent of           
the votes cast, and changing the term of office of the governor and            
the lieutenant governor, pass the Senate?"  The roll was taken with
